The HOPE Cancer Ministry Director is an on-site, part-time, non-exempt position typically 16 hours per week with salary up to $20/hour commensurate with experience.  This person is responsible for directing the HOPE Cancer Ministry which exists to provide help and hope to patients and families walking a journey through cancer.  The HOPE ministry provides encouragement, resources, spiritual and material support, prayer, direction and referrals for the patient during diagnosis and treatment, and as necessary, guidance via referral options for end of life care.  Therefore, the ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge, expertise, and experience in medical offices, practices, or professions related to oncology, patient navigation, hospice or palliative care.  The HOPE Director provides patient assistance with compassion, sensitivity, and dignity, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations regarding patient confidentiality.   The Director also oversees HOPE funds and works to ensure continued donations and funding for the ministry.  Finally, the ideal candidate will happily supervise a team of willing volunteers who assist with encouragement by sending cards and occasional gifts and other uplifting items to HOPE Ministry recipients. The Church Secretary position is an on-site, part-time, non-exempt position typically 28-32 hours per week (varies by season) with salary up to $20/hour commensurate with experience.  The Church Secretary is pivotal to our mission to reach, disciple and serve others that they may come to know Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, therefore, this person must exhibit the mind, heart, lovingkindness, grace, and patience of Jesus with joy and peace.  This person will serve as a clerical assistant to ministry staff & lay leaders, also facilitating communications and member support.  The Church Secretary is the primary point of contact for the church, whether from members or the community at large, and will conscientiously and confidentially handle requests and interactions with sincerity, agape love, and tact.
